Following the huge success and off the hook vibe of their re-launch at Alpha in November, Subst@nce returns on December 10th for another underground house throw down; the emphasis, as always, on the MUSIC.

This time round Subst@nce has lined up one of the heaviest hitters of 2009, ALEX NIGGEMANN (Get Physical/8bit/Supernature) direct from Berlin, Germany, to join resident Steve Darley on the decks.

Alex began Djing at the tender age of 16, inspired by his older brothers taste for house and techno music and in the subsequent 8 years or so has forged a formidable name for himself. His reputation has spread, from his home town of Dusseldorf, right across Europe and beyond, not only as an outstanding underground house Dj, but for his production work and re-mixes (notably, his first release, a monstrous re-working of Booka Shade’s “Darko”).

He has produced several of 2009’s biggest, and most well received underground tracks (“Black Rose”,“Makayuni ep” and “El Hechizo” to name but three), has received considerable plaudits from his peers and adulation in the press as well as smashing dancefloors around the globe. His star is very much in ascension and we are extremely privileged to have him as our guest at Substance.

Alex will be bringing his trademark sound, which has rocked clubs in Ibiza all summer, legendary venues such as Berghain/Panorama Bar and Watergate in Berlin, and crowds as far afield as South America, to Alpha and its Funktion One sound system, and believe us when we warn you….. DO NOT MISS THIS…..Very soon you won’t be able to find Alex Niggemann in a small intimate venue like this, as he is about to explode !!!!! Catch him while you can!!
