For table bookings call 04 3582090 Club policy : 21+ (please bring ur I.D's) Dj Jakki Degg: DJ Jakki Degg was born and raised in Hednesford Staffordshire. Jakki has had a love for music as long as she has memory. As a child she often put on dance shows for her neighbours and friends. Usually dancing to Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross and Billie Ocean to name a few. Jakki was a keen dancer and spent most of her young life travelling the country with her mother entering dance competitions. Jakki's musical taste has changed dramatically throughout her life, in her early teens Rock played a big part of her life. Guns’N’Roses, Bonjovi, Poison, Aerosmith etc. As well as Hip Hop and Soul. Jakki began partying in the early 90′s going to all the trendy clubs in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and sometimes even Manchester. The music however, at that time was not to her taste and even made her firmly believe she disliked House Music Jakki moved to London in 1999 to pursue a modelling career and soon enough the London House scene was forced upon her. The friends she made early on were House club promoters and although she yearned for Hip-Hop House began to “Fit” a little better. As time went on Jakki discovered the London Hip-Hop scene and soon the House Clubs we a distant memory. Despite an apparent dislike for House Jakki found a love for Ibiza and has visited at least 20 times shunning the more Urban destinations such as Ayia Napa. As Jakki's modelling career gathered momentum major record companies began to show interest. Singing was Jakki's dream so singing lessons commenced. Sadly it was not meant to be for Jakki. She just couldn’t reach a level that she was happy with. She did not want to be a manufactured pop act so she did not pursue her dream any further. However, music was always on her mind so when someone close to her suggested she try DJing, she thought “Why not?” La enthusiastically began trying to mix her favourite Hip Hop tracks. Jakki began to research all the different House genres. To her surprise it did not sound anything like the music she remembered in the 90s. A few months passed and Jakki finally grasped the basics and was actually enjoying House music. It didn’t take her long to find her style and also to find DJs she could aspire to. Jakki has spent the last couple of years travelling all over the world and this is just the beginning. Jakki has already co produced a track and is very keen to start producing on her own. Jakki is hard working and never afraid of a challenge. All through her life she has had people tell her she will not succeed. This only makes her more determined to achieve her goals. Female DJs are becoming increasingly popular but Jakki is confident she will be able to stand out from the rest.
