Travelwings.com presents SA BRAAI DAY on Fri 14th Oct at Emirates Golf Club ft AKING from Cape Town + a special acoustic sunset set, rooted in blues with influences of country, bluegrass, world music & traditional Indian melodies by Dan Patlansky. Joining them is SA Comedian, Paul Snodgrass our MC & funny man for the day.
We doing it SA "Bring & Braai' style so bring your meat & come braai with us on the grass lawn as DJ James Justin provide the perfect soundtrack throughout the day. For those that might not want to braai but still want to be a part of the experience, we will have a South African inspired Braai menu available on the day.
It will be a fun day for the family with activities for the kids & this year we also adding a space for our SA community to sell their South African products, food & drinks you love.
Everyone is welcome to bring picnic blankets, camping chairs, umbrellas, sports games & celebrate our Heritage Day with a big smile!

Dan Patlansky was voted Male Artist of the Year 2015 by Blues & Soul Magazine, #4 of 10 Best Rock Guitarists In The World by Total Guitar Magazine in December 2015, as well as one of the Top 20 Blues Rock Artists by Blues Magazine. In February 2016, he received a nomination for Best International Solo Artist for the Planet Rock Radio ‘Rocks’ Awards. He has also received a nomination from the prestigious British Blues Awards 2016 for best 'Overseas Artist'.
Dan Patlansky launched his first acoustic album Wooden Thoughts, in March 2013. It’s an album that Patlansky aspired to do for a long time: “I’ve always wanted to do an acoustic album but finally decided to do it following my successful unplugged tour in 2012. I realised there was a demand for it. As a musician, it allows you to play something different and it is less flashy. It also lends itself to a wide range of genres that allowed me to stretch myself,” he explains. He will be doing a special acoustic sunset set at sunset
About Paul Snodgrass

Paul Snodgrass (know as Snoddie) started his career at the fresh faces section of the Smirnoff International Comedy Festival. He is best known for his work on eTV’s “That Sport Show” and for his work as reporter and producer for eTV Sports News. He has also successfully performed for many corporate clients and he has quickly made a name for himself as a multi-talented stand-up comedian and MC for many SA rock bands. Paul will be our MC but will also be doing some impromptu sets throughout the day
