1957, Balloche-les-Olivettes: A small, peaceful village nestled in the cool heart of France. Life unfolds gently between its café, town hall, and church.

However, when Adélaïde Francoeur, the café owner's wife, discovers that her somewhat foolish son, Augustin, has fallen for Juliette Tourquendieu de la Picaudière, the mayor’s daughter, disaster seems inevitable!

While Firmin, Juliette’s father, initially sees no reason to oppose the union, his world is turned upside down when Adélaïde reminds him of their brief affair from twenty years ago. It turns out that Augustin is none other than his own son!

This comedy, blending vaudeville, peasant farce, and time travel, showcases a diverse cast of characters, spanning all ages and walks of life.
