Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is home to thousands of aquatic animals, comprising over 140 species. Over 400 Sharks and Rays live in our 10 million litre tank, including Sand Tiger Sharks, Giant Groupers, and a host of other marine species. A series of carefully designed experiences will allow our visitors to come face to face with our aquatic residents for memorable moments with friends and family. Meet ‘King Croc’! This 40-year-old Australian Saltwater crocodile weighs 750 kg and measures over 5 meters in length. Originally deemed a ‘problem’ crocodile at 2.4 meters, he was relocated from Queensland’s Botanic Gardens to a protected environment. Here, he thrived and became one of the most formidable reptiles alive. King Croc is expected to grow even larger over the next 50 years. He resides with Queen Croc, his 80-year-old companion. Don't miss the chance to encounter one of the world's largest and most powerful crocodiles.

Come and hand-feed our intrepid Eagle Rays and Cow nose Rays on our specially designed ray feeding platform at Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. It’s an amazing experience as these inquisitive, yet gentle creatures breach the water surface to take fish from your hands. Rays are truly magnificent animals. They are perfectly safe to feed and will leave you with a smile on your face.

Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo introduced Gentoo penguins in 2010, the first in the region. These penguins, from a U.S. facility, inhabit a state-of-the-art exhibit replicating Subantarctic conditions with air at 2-4°C and water at 5-7°C, plus a special light cycle. Home to 16 penguins, the exhibit features climbing structures and a slide. Starting with "Penguin Cove" and expanding to the "Penguin Encounter" visitors can enjoy immersive interactions and learn about the penguins' natural behaviors.

This family-friendly experience will educate guests about shark species as well as how the creatures are taken care of at Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. The educational content will be all about their environment, feeding, and breeding habits while visitors also get to go behind the scenes in assisting the aquarium staff in training Bamboo Sharks and Leopard Sharks. Submerged to about waist height in waterproof waders, visitors can get into the tank for a unique “trainer” experience and interact with the sharks.
