Live Nation Middle East are proud to announce that the Grammy winning universally popular rock pop band, Maroon 5, will be performing at The World Trade Centre Arena on April 21st 2011 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The band will showcase all their previous hits including their new singles from their latest album “Hands All Over.”
Capturing their first of two Grammys as Best New Artist of 2005, and going on to sell more than ten million albums worldwide, Maroon 5 won plaudits with the hybrid rock/R&B sound they introduced on their debut album Songs About Jane. On May 22nd, after four years and live shows alongside the likes of The Rolling Stones and Stevie Wonder, the quintet released their much-anticipated second album, “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long” (A&M/Octone Records). The album was “sexier,” “stronger” and even “lyrically darker” than Jane, according to vocalist/guitarist Adam Levine, who affirms that “it’s rooted in what we’ve always been, which is different.” Their latest album “Hands All Over” has been described as “a killer hybrid of rock, pop, funk and R&B.” They sat down to write this album after winding down from a world tour in support of their previous album, “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long.”
Dubai based rock band, Juliana Down, are set to open for Maroon5 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Juliana Down have really stood out in the UAE music scene, especially with their hit “Empires” which is currently played on Virgin Radio, Dubai 92, Virgin Radio Jordan, Yes FM in Sri Lanka and MTV Arabia. Juliana Down have opened up for many acts including Guns N Roses, Justin Timberlake, Muse, The Rasmus, Prime Circle, Korn and many more.
“We are really excited to have Maroon5 back in Dubai, they really stole the show in 2008 and we are very much looking forward to having them rock once again. I am thrilled that we are able to support local up-and-coming talent by having one of the UAE’s best local bands open up for the International superstars. This is going to be an exciting night and we can’t wait to see all their UAE and Middle Eastern fans be a part of this.” Says Kelly Haechler,Event Manager at Live Nation Middle East
