Музыкальная линия спектакля представлена известными фортепианными сочинениями и произведениями композитора для камерного ансамбля.
Перекликаясь с бессмертной музыкой Сергея Рахманинова в исполнении Александра Кашпурина, Сергея Словачевского и Ренаты Бахрах, драматические артисты прикоснутся к тончайшей ткани мыслей, радостей и тревог композитора и его ближайших родственников и друзей – сестёр Скалон, Натальи Сатиной (жены Рахманинова), Мариетты Шагинян, Шаляпина, Станиславского, Льва Толстого, Чехова и других.
