Founded in 1956 as the Central Philharmonic Society, the China National Symphony Orchestra (CNSO) is a cornerstone of China’s musical heritage, overseen by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Performing from the Beijing Concert Hall, the CNSO is renowned for its role in premiering original Chinese compositions, including the famed "Yellow River" piano concerto. The orchestra has represented China at major international venues such as the Vienna Musikverein, Berlin Philharmonie, and New York’s Lincoln Center.

The CNSO has collaborated with top musicians, including conductors Herbert von Karajan and Lorin Maazel, and soloists Yo-Yo Ma and Lang Lang, fostering global cultural exchange while showcasing both Western classics and Chinese music.

Jing Huan, Permanent Conductor of the CNSO and Music Director of the Guangzhou Symphony Youth Orchestra, is a noted graduate of the Central Conservatory of Music and the University of Cincinnati. She has held prominent positions with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and São Paulo State Symphony and has been recognized by Maestro Long Yu.

Ning Feng, an acclaimed violinist known for his artistry and virtuosity, has performed with major orchestras like the New York Philharmonic and Royal Philharmonic. He plays a 1710 Stradivari violin, supported by Premiere Performances of Hong Kong, and is a professor at Berlin’s Hanns Eisler School of Music.
