After four recent sold-out shows, with standing ovations every night, the AWARD WINNING outrageous comedy sensation “Ice Hole – A Cardboard Comedy” is back at Theatre by QE2 this autumn – with shows on Saturday 26th October, Sunday 27th October and Sunday 17th November.

This is a must-see event for theatre enthusiasts, in any language - and lovers of creative expression. Audiences in Dubai don’t often see theatre like this - a play filled with creativity and cardboard artistry.

Described as a “cardboard comedy” the story of the play revolves around a man in a three-piece suit fishing in the plains of the Great North when an accidental encounter with a mermaid changes his destiny. He embarks on an enigmatic and crazy journey narrated - with cardboard!

Originally created by top French comedians, Pierre Guillois and Olivier Martin-Salvan, the 2022 Moliere Award-winning show was a smash hit at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023 where it received glowing 5-star reviews and played to sold-out audiences.

“The Ice Hole – A Cardboard Comedy” is now brought to life in Dubai by popular comedians and actors Sadiq Saboowala and Patrick Albrecht, two-time winners of the local Short + Sweet Dubai Theatre Festival.

By car: You can follow Sheikh Zayed Road towards Port Rashid, then follow signs for Queen Elizabeth 2.

By public transportation: Take the Red Line metro and get off at BurJuman Metro Station. From there, take a taxi or rideshare to reach Queen Elizabeth 2.

By taxi: You can also take a taxi to the Queen Elizabeth 2 from anywhere in Dubai. It's a famous destination and most drivers would be familiar with its location.
