World-famous saxophonist and producer Igor Butman will perform with the Moscow Jazz Orchestra on 4 December 2024 at Zabeel Theatre, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The concert is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of a 17-piece powerhouse ensemble described by Downbeat Magazine as “an outfit of virtuosos”.
The lineup of the Orchestra features the winner of the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Guitar Competition, guitarist Evgeny Pobozhiy, and the 2nd prize winner at the Sarah Vaughan Vocal Competition, extraordinary pianist and vocalist Oleg Akkuratov.
Igor Butman and the Moscow Jazz Orchestra performed on the stages of the biggest festivals in France, Italy, the UK, India, the US, and Russia, drawing praise from the most respected jazz magazines.
Throughout the 20 years of its ongoing eventful history, the ensemble created programs with numerous jazz superstars: George Benson, Wynton Marsalis, Natalie Cole, Dee Dee Bridgewater, and John Pizzarelli to name a few.
