A Ballet and Video Art Performance 4 at Zabeel Theatre, Dubai

A world premiere performance from the producers of the Gabrielle Chanel and Como un Respiro ballets staged at Dubai Opera in January 2023. 

Produced in the UAE by MuzArts Baldaquin Culture and premiering in Dubai “4” alternates dance and dazzling video art, rhythmed by Antonio Vivaldi’s musical themes from The Four Seasons. This performance combines contemporary ballet, digital images, and classical music.
With a choreography composed by Eno Peci “4” stages four internationally acclaimed dancers: the Bolshoi ballet soloist Maria Vinogradova, Vienna ballet stars Mila Schmidt and Gabriele Aime, and the Bolshoi ballet guest star Ildar Gaynutdinov.
Their performance tells the intertwined stories of the four ages of civilization, of the four stages of each human life, and of the eternal succession of the four – rapidly changing – seasons. Each of Vivaldi’s seasons thus resonates with a distinct phase of human development, historical timeline, and climatic epoch.

“4” shows how egoistic pulsions have alienated humanity from nature. How guided by pride and consumption, we often make disastrous choices affecting all living things. Starting from spring and as seasons advance, the further progress goes, the more confident humanity grows that it can harness the power of nature. At the end of this journey, in a world scarred by human hubris, a ray of hope appears a hope for love and new seasons.
