The Fridge Presents: Ars Nova Napoli in Dubai

Ars Nova Napoli started out busking in the streets of Naples. Sixteen years later, they've played Lincoln Center, festivals across five continents, and built a reputation as one of Italy’s most loved contemporary folk bands - with this performance powered by Sennheiser for an exceptional live sound experience.

This is southern Italian folk music that's vibrant, high-energy, and unpredictable. Mandolins, accordions, frame drums, and a double bass play centuries-old melodies in ways you wouldn't expect to hear from traditional Italian music. The band spent years learning these songs directly from locals across Apulia, Sicily, and Calabria, then brought them into the Nu Folk scene with their own sound and style. For this show, they're playing Mediterranean melodies and unpublished compositions you won't hear anywhere else.
