Led by acclaimed bandleader Peter Long, renowned for his role as musical director of Ronnie Scott’s, along with his sextet featuring Sara Oschlag, this special performance brings together an exceptional ensemble of international jazz musicians. Guided by Long’s expert direction, the evening will journey through the rich catalogue and unmistakable style that made Blue Note a global symbol of artistic excellence.
With a special guest performance by Francesco Cafiso Duo, presented in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Abu Dhabi. Francesco Cafiso is an award-winning Italian saxophonist who is considered to be a child prodigy, after he won an international jazz competition at the age of 11.
From hard bop to modal jazz, the programme pays tribute to the legendary artists who shaped the label’s legacy, including icons such as John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Herbie Hancock, while celebrating the enduring influence of Blue Note on contemporary jazz.
