iLL Communications returns this season with the most cutting-edge DJs Dubai has ever seen. Thursday, October 22nd OHM Events presents the UAE premier of Mathew Jonson, co founder of label Wagon Repair and member of the renowned Modern Deep Left Quartet and Cobblestone Jazz. Canadian-born producer Mathew Jonson is one of the more virtuosic and boldly innovative figures of contemporary techno. His tracks such as "Decompression", "Typerope", "Alpine Rocket", and "Marionette" have landed on the ‘Top 10’ lists of Gilles Peterson, Tiga, Sven Vath, Richie Hawton, and Laurent Garnier and has recorded on labels such as Minus, Perlon, and Kompakt. Collaborating with Luciano and Mole, remixing for the Chemical Brothers, Nelly Furtado, and Moby, and appearing on the mix albums of Adam Bayer, Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, and Daniel Bell.Jonson has created some of the most influential tracks of the past few years and is always looking at new approaches to electronic music.
