High-octane thrills meet extreme sports and hip-hop heavyweights at first UAE Drift
Drift Allstars bring unique motorsport show to Dubai Festival City 
Dubai, November 28, 2010 – With less than two weeks to go, news of UAE Drift is spreading fast across the Middle East. From December 9-11, Dubai Festival City will host an extravaganza of motoring talent on a special purpose-built track.
UAE Drift is a round of Drift Allstars, a professional drifting series. It matches daredevil skills, artistic interpretation, speed and control as competitors do battle in their cars. The fastest growing motorsport, drifting has become extremely popular within the context of extreme sports.
While the UAE Drift driving event will take place in front of massive crowds at the track, visitors will also be treated to a wide range of entertainment on a dedicated music stage, also in Dubai Festival City.
 A musical goldmine will feature talent that has been specially handpicked from across Europe and the Middle East for the event. Horsepower will meet breakbeats to harness the energy and amazing skills seen on the track with a hip-hop stage in use over the full three days of UAE Drift. Groups such as MTV nominee Hamdan from Abri, the UK’s rap, grime and dubstep superstars Foreign Beggars and popular Egyptian hip-hop ensemble Arabian Knightz will set the stage alight.
 
Meanwhile, the Rage Extreme Zone features one of the biggest skate shows to hit the Middle East this year. At Dubai Festival City, the unique talents of some of the finest skaters, brought together under the official Nike SB banner, will join alongside the action on the track and the stage. The Rage Extreme Zone will become the epicenter of action sports activity, inside the newly revamped skate park at the venue.
 
And for car enthusiasts, the Dubai Modified Car Show will offer a platform for local and international car tuners and modification studios to show off their unique skills.

Drifting is currently North America/Europe’s fastest growing motor sport. Originally from Japan it has grown rapidly over the past decade. Drifting can often be compared to having the same action as the ‘best’ moment in Formula 1, World rally, or equivalent motor sport, but it is run time and time again, keeping the crowd in total awe of the car control. Drivers are measured on how much angle, speed, style and overall impact that a driver can navigate a circuit of turns in.
UAE Drift is a culmination of 3 years research around creating a professional drift series and show in the Middle East between JDM Allstars and Dolphin Creative.

Drift Australia Champion/2010 JDM Allstars Champion Luke Fink will be launching his new team, and 2009 JDM Allstars Champion and Dutch Champion Remo Niezen in his hugely impressive 500hp Falken Tyres BMW will be gunning for a top result.To mix things up we have a strong contingents from Ireland with 2008 European Champion/2010 Irish Champion James Deane in his Nexen Tyres Nissan PS13 as well as Christy Carpenter in his 600hp Nissan S15.
