Based in Berlin but originally from Swansea, Doc Daneeka's brand of syncopated beats, polyrhythms and bass are almost impossible to avoid getting physical to. Following an early release on Fabric in 2010 he has gone from strength to strength releasing material on PTN, RAMP, 50 Weapons and Ten Thousand Yen which he runs with DUST's own Ian Yeti. His music has gained support from artists and DJs such as Mary Anne Hobbs, Jackmaster, Oneman, Sinden, Skream, Gilles Peterson, James Zabiela, Martyn, Roska & Untold Finishing 2010 nominated for best breakthrough DJ for DJ MAG whilst smashing out a ton of hotly tipped releases, remixes and mixes throughout 2010 and 2011, Daneeka set to work cementing his place as one of UK dance music's new shining lights, closing the year as a member of RBMA's Madrid 2011 Alumni. 2012 saw his first debut album release with Benjamin Damage - “THEY!LIVE” on Modeselektor’s 50Weapons imprint to great critical acclaim, which featured the incredible vocals of Abigail Wyles. This release was quickly followed by a further collaboration with the singer - Tobyjug on Ten Thousand Yen, showcasing a subtler side to his style. He has just finished up an extensive North America & Canada Tour with Addison Groove, alongside dates across the UK, Europe, NZ, Australia & China. The rest of the year will see him playing Sonar festival in Barcelona, Exit Festival in Serbia with dates across Europe and the UK then closing the year across in South America, with upcoming releases on Roska Roska's Kicks & Snares and 2020 Vision. Prism is a Dubai-based club night where residents Puzzl, Essarai and Ian Yeti play sounds from across the spectrum of experimental underground dance music. Their focus is on the emerging evolution of bass music that is currently nameless but draws its influences from techno, house, garage, and dubstep.
