Player's Lounge

Run by a British Manager, Player’s Lounge is the sports bar of The Country Club Hotel, located in Mankhool area. Showing off a goal post with net behind the bar counter, Player’s Lounge especially treats UK football as a ‘resident sport’ programming the English Premier League every Saturday and Sunday. Sure you don’t miss any piece of grass lawn and any action on the 18 TV including 3 big screens broadcasting the matches.

It would be a pity to come in only for soccer ball… ‘More than a Sports Bar’, that’s what promises to be Player’s Lounge. Featuring a contemporary setting with stylish furniture, fresco-size enlightened sport-themed pictures and some old wall-displayed items, Player’s Lounge above all is a great nightlife spot to chill out with friends. Ladies are particularly pampered on Tuesdays as they are entitled to 2 free drinks on regular beverages. Any day, enjoy darts and a billiard table and on Wednesdays, guests are invited to attend a pool competition from 8pm for a fee of AED 50.

Besides sports, Player’s Lounge strongly focuses on live music. Its excellent 3-piece band Off the Rails performs from Monday to Friday from 9.30pm to 2.30am. Accompanied by the two Australian musician-singers Adrian and Darron, the charismatic British lady Dona fills up the dining room with its powerful voice. In addition, the resident DJ Tim Klassen plays tracks from the 80’s and 90’s from Wednesday to Friday from 9pm. The end of the week thus turns pop-rock and party people keep dancing till late in the heat of the night.

Come for sports, come for entertainment but also come for food. Player’s Lounge indeed offers a pub style cuisine with a large variety of dishes to please all the taste buds. The menu features homemade burgers, salads and pasta in addition to specialties with various accents such as Fish ‘n’ Chips (deep fried fillet of fish in crips beer batter served with fries and mushy peas), Seafood Mixed Platter(grilled tiger prawns, fillet of hammour and marinated calamari served with fries, side salad and lemon butter sauce), Combo Fajitas (all served sizzling hot on bed of onion & peppers with sour cream, salsa, guacamole, cheese & floor tortillas), Chicken Tikka Masala (UK’s favourite mild masala served with naan bread or rice) and Chelsea Mixed Meat Grill (lamb chop, beef steak and grilled chicken breast, served with vegetables and your choice of potato).

On Fridays from 11.30 to 4pm, Player’s Lounge indulges you with an attractive Brunch at AED 69 per person including 2 selected beverages. Family-oriented, it offers an enjoyable Kid’s corner entertaining your children with face painting, mascots and cartoon movies. And no worries about where to park your car, The Country Club Hotel permanently provides free valet parking facilities.
