After spending 13 years voluntarily working inside Lebanese prisons—facilitating drama therapy, producing theatrical works with inmates, and advocating for legal reforms—activist and director Zeina Daccache finds herself at a personal crossroads.

She reconnects with Joseph, a former prisoner who served 30 years behind bars and collaborated closely with her throughout her prison initiatives.

Now outside the physical walls of incarceration, both Zeina and Joseph grapple with a different kind of confinement—one shaped by Lebanon’s ongoing economic collapse, political instability, and social disillusionment. The time spent away from what most consider “normal life,” compounded by the relentless turmoil in their country and region, has left them feeling alienated and adrift.

Joining them is Sam Ghazal, a young Lebanese stand-up comedian whose candid humor and sharp insights offer levity and fresh perspective. His presence bridges generational gaps and brings unexpected warmth to their collective reflection.

Blending comedy with poignant drama, the play explores deep emotional terrain—grief, unresolved pasts, the complexities of motherhood and family, and the search for clarity in an unpredictable world.
