Praised by Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman as “a living hope for quality music” and described by guitar legend Guthrie Govan as someone who “makes an electric guitar do things that are clearly not possible,” Guitar Prasanna is one of the world’s most innovative guitarists and composers.

Called “inhumanly precise” by the Chicago Reader and celebrated by The New York Times for his “cosmopolitan harmonic language,” AllAboutJazz adds, “Prasanna plays guitar like nobody on the planet.” He pioneered the art of Carnatic music on the guitar and is known worldwide for his blend of Carnatic with Jazz, Rock, and Blues. Prasanna is a Distinguished Alumnus Awardee of IIT Madras and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Berklee College of Music.

Prasanna has performed with Indian legends Ilaiyaraaja, Hariprasad Chaurasia, A.R. Rahman, Ustad Shahid Parvez, Vikku Vinayakram, and Dr. L. Subramaniam, Rock icons Jordan Rudess, Alex Skolnick, and Dweezil Zappa, as well as Jazz greats Joe Lovano, Esperanza Spalding, and Larry Coryell. An acclaimed film composer, Prasanna has scored music for the Oscar-winning documentary "Smile Pinki", National award-winning Tamil blockbuster "Vazhakku Enn 18/9", and many more. Prasanna's signature guitar playing is featured on numerous hits of A.R. Rahman, Ilaiyaraaja, Anirud, and others, including Rahman’s classic "July Matham Vandhal" and “Ye Jo Des Hai Tera.”

Recognized with the "Lifetime Achievement Award" in Carnatic music by H.H. Jayendra Saraswathi, featured among the “Top 50 Creative Indians” by Open Magazine and the “100 Greatest Indian Classical Musicians” by Spinditty, Prasanna’s influence is global and enduring.

Now, after acclaimed concerts across the US, Canada, Europe, and India, his One Man, One Guitar, Many Worlds tour arrives in Dubai with two concerts: Endaro Mahanubhavulu, a Carnatic tribute to Tyagaraja, Dikshitar, and Syama Sastri, and Yeh Shaam Mastani, celebrating Ilaiyaraaja, R.D. Burman, and A.R. Rahman.

Get ready for a jaw-dropping guitar performance.
