DUBAI FOOD FESTIVAL – Master Class Series presented by Al Islami

The Dubai Food Festival takes place this February 26-11 March and includes several master class cooking opportunities, including a hands-on session with renowned Australian chef Gary Mehigan,Shannon Bennett,George Calombaris, Matt Moran, Manal Al Alem, Roland Puse of Coya Restaurant, Himanshu Saini of Tresind Restaurant, Tom Arnel of The Sum Of Us and Colin Clague of Jean-Georges Restaurant.

He'll take students through each step as they re-create some of his signature dishes, answering questions and dishing out advice throughout - and the best bit is you get to take your finished creation home with you, or simply eat it there and then!

The class will be held on Friday February 26 from 12-1.30pm at SCAFA, with tickets AED550 per person. Following the Masterclass will be a live cooking demonstration with Gary Mehigan, with all guests given the dry ingredients to prepare the dish at home. The live demonstration runs from 2-2.30pm and costs AED150 per person.

Trained at Michelin starred restaurants The Connaught Hotel and Le Souffle in London early in his career, Mehigan moved to Australia and opened award-winning Fenix Restaurant & Events in 2000 and the Maribyrnong Boathouse in 2007.
