Mandy Knight brings her critically-acclaimed new show ‘The Dark Knight’ to The Laughter Factory, following a sold-out Edinburgh Fringe run and winning the much coveted ‘Spirit of The Fringe’ award. She is the only woman currently compering The Comedy Store in London and Manchester, which basically means, she is less tolerant than Major Giuliani, when it come to fools acting up.
However,giving her a run for her money will be Alex Boardman, you may not recognize the name, but we guarantee if you’ve been watching UK television over the last 10 years, you have been laughing at his jokes. When John Bishop and Jason Manford need some new material, this is their ‘go to guy’. Not just a brilliant writer, his stage craft is highly skilled. He has headlined shows in the Lowry in Manchester and The London Palladium. Lucky for us, he likes to play to smaller crowds.
Finally, we have hand-picked the hottest new talent to add to your amusement. Jimmy McGhie makes a huge contribution to the evolution of the comedy landscape as we know it. With ground breaking material, this overnight sensation who has earned a reputation for showing wit and spark while exposing an unhealthy vulnerability and self-deprecation. After smashing it on his last tour, Jimmy returns to The Laughter Factory fresh from recently taping his second appearance for TV show ‘7 Days’

Mandy Knight

Time Out award winner MANDY KNIGHT has headlined all over the world including Dubai, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, South Africa and Rickmansworth.
She has appeared on television Stand-up shows including; Live at Jongleurs, The Comedy Store and The World Stands-Up for the Paramount Comedy Channel.
Watching Knight is like being punched by an iron fist in a velvet glove. She will leave you insulted but breathless from laughter. She is not for the feint hearted or hard of thinking.
As a television actress, Mandy appeared as a main character in Jo Brand's Like it or Lump it. She has also appeared with David Baddiel in The Baddiel Syndrome and on The Little Big Woman Radio Show.
Her other television credits include presenting various shows including Live Time (a sort of Richard and Judy style show - where she held fascinating interviews with people about things like National Cheese Week) and writing for television for ITV's Des and Mel Show.
She is currently in development with SKY TV with a 6 x 1 hour comedy drama.


Alex Boardman

Jimmy McGhie

Jimmy has just returned from his fifth tour of Australia and New Zealand. He performed in ‘Best of the Edinburgh Fest’ to sold out crowds at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. He appeared on the ABC Stand-up show ‘Brexit at Tiffanys’.Moving onto to New Zealand where he toured with the ‘International Comedy Allstars Show’ as well as a run of his 8th solo show ‘Apologia’ in Auckland as part of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival. Jimmy also appeared in the highest rated show on New Zealand Television, ‘7Days’, as well as ‘The Café’. Jimmy will be performing all over the UK this summer until he takes his 10th solo show ‘Jimmy McGhie’s Tribal Gathering’ to the Edinburgh Festival in August.
