I truly enjoyed the atmosphere there. Being surrounded by so many Malayalis felt like being back home. Hearing Malayalam on the mic gave me goosebumps, they really succeeded in recreating the authentic Kerala vibe.

The whole ambience reminded me of the ulsava parambu in Kerala. I simply couldn’t get out of the vibe; it was warm, nostalgic, and beautifully organized. I loved spending some “me time” walking around with my loved ones and soaking in the energy.

A truly wonderful experience!

Mmde Thrissur Pooram season 6

UNESCO has recognized Thrissur Pooram as a particularly impressive festival, highlighting its scale and grandeur. Inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Thrissur, a group of individuals from the UAE came together to establish “Mmde Thrissur” in 2018.

Thrissur pooram "Mother of all Poorams," one of the largest festivals in Asia, is renowned for its spectacular festival that exemplifies the fusion of art, culture, and spirituality. This vibrant celebration features a magnificent procession of beautifully caparisoned elephants, accompanied by the captivating rhythms of traditional percussion orchestra such as melam and panchavadyam.

“Mmde Thrissur UAE” made history by bringing the grandeur of Thrissur Pooram to Dubai for the first time. This extraordinary event was launched on April 26th 2019 at Bollywood Parks Dubai, ensuring an exceptional experience..

Day 1 (15/11/2025)

KODIYETTAM – Flag hoisting ceremony on the traditional golden flag post marking the beginning of 20+ hours of Pooram.
SHAKTHAN THAMBURAN STATUE REVEAL– The man behind the iconic Trissur Pooram.
AANACHAMAYAM – Inaugural function of the majestic exhibition of elephant ornaments and special umbrellas which is a tradition followed from Trissur.
FOOD FEST INNAUGRATION – Multi cuisine food stalls to flavour up the Pooram.
PANCHARI MELAM by 51 artists which marks the official start of rhythmic performances of Pooram.

KELI - Immerse in a traditional percussion of Chenda, Madhalam & Thalam
KUZHAL PATTU - a prelude to panchari Melam featuring kuzhal, a double reed wind instrument
KOMBU PATTU: Another traditional wind instrument performance showcasing the breathe holding capacity of the artist
PANCHARI MELAM is one of the classic forms of Chenda Melam will be performed by percussion legend “Kshethra Kalakulapathi Kalacharya Therozhi Ramakurup” Performing first time out side India accompanied by 125+ artists.
NADASWARAM by “Chelakkara Brothers”
KAAVADIYATTOM by Sreeranjini Kalaroopam
PANCHAVADHYAM: The rhythmic magic of Kunissery Aniyan Marar leading the Panchavadyam accompanied by over 50 artists. A traditional orchestra comprising five instruments - kombu, edakka, thimila, ilathalam, and madhalam - will recreate the true spirit of Thrissur Pooram Madathil Varavu Panchavadyam.
