Ekaterina Schulmann is a renowned political scientist, publicist, candidate of political sciences, and popular speaker. Her ability to talk about complex things happening in the political world in simple language, with sound reasoning and characteristic humor, has won over millions of viewers in different countries. Ekaterina Schulmann and Maxim Kurnikov will present a lecture "The Captain's Daughter as an Example of Colonial Prose." What do Pushkin's prose and Walter Scott's Scottish novels have in common, and what were those lands where the story unfolds really like? The speakers will talk about "The Captain's Daughter," the Orenburg region, and the artistic and political aspects in Alexander Pushkin's works. After the presentation, you will have the opportunity to ask your questions.

By car: Take Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) towards Dubai and exit at interchange 5. Merge onto Umm Suqeim Road (D63) and follow the signs to Souk Madinat Jumeirah. Once inside the Madinat Jumeirah complex, follow the internal roads to the parking areas near the souk.  

By public transportation: Take the Dubai Metro to the Mall of the Emirates station. From there, you can take a taxi or use a ride-sharing service for a short distance to the entrance of Souk Madinat Jumeirah.  

By taxi: You can also take a taxi or request a ride-hailing service to Madinat Jumeirah complex, from anywhere in Dubai. It is a famous destination and most drivers will be familiar with the location.
