Music in the Studio continues to create exceptional and intimate musical experiences with an incredible line-up of international artists from September to December 2021 entering its 9th successful season as the only subscription series of classical concerts in Dubai.

Curated by internationally renowned pianist Amira Fouad, Music in the Studio is set in Dubai Opera’s acoustically flawless studio, allowing for a more atmospheric and unmissable experience between the musicians and their audiences. Top international talent flies in from across the globe to bring Dubai’s discerning audiences exceptional experiences. Music in the Studio is presented by Encore! in partnership with Dubai Opera since 2017 and has offered over 75 musical experiences for the community including masterclasses, workshops, concerts for students, Q & A’s with artists of diverse international backgrounds, and rich cultural experiences.

Luca Ciarla - Violinist

Violin Concert
A creative and surprising violinist, Luca Ciarla easily transcends the boundaries among genres to trace an innovative musical path in perfect balance between written compositions and improvisation, traditional and contemporary sounds.

A native of Termoli, Italy, Luca began playing violin and piano at the age of 8. He received his violin degree in 1993 and then studied at the Fiesole School of Music and the Scuola di Alto perfezionamento of Saluzzo.

In 1996 Luca moved to the United States to pursue a Master's at Indiana University and study jazz with David Baker. He also completed a Doctorate in musical arts at the University of Arizona, where he taught violin for several years. The winner of several competitions in Italy and abroad, in 1999, he was awarded by the prestigious New York-based Chamber Music America.

After recording with several prestigious labels, Luca Ciarla founded his own production company: Violipiano. Recently he released his latest album, ViolinAir, launched in Rome at the Auditorium Parco Della Musica and Repubblica TV program Webnotte.

House & Event Policies
2+ years would require a ticket to enter the Studio.
Below 2 years are not permitted into the Studio.
Patrons under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Latecomers may only be admitted at a suitable pause.
Any use of mobile phones, cameras, and other electronic devices inside the studio is strictly prohibited
The Opera Cafe opens two hours before the performance

Important information:
-Proof of Vaccination is not required.
-The show is General Admission/First come first seat.

Entry may be refused, or you may be asked to leave if the below conditions are not met:
- Please do not attend if you have Covid-19 symptoms.
- It is mandatory to wear a face mask at all times whilst at Dubai Opera ensuring that your nose and mouth are covered correctly. This includes during the performance. You will be asked to leave if you are not wearing your face mask correctly.
- You may remove your face mask to consume food and beverage in the Foyers when sitting or standing at a table. If you move away from the table you must put your face mask on.
- Please keep your face mask on in all photographs that you take. You will be asked to delete any photographs that breach this rule, and you may be asked to leave.
- During the performance please remain seated in your allocated seat at all times. Standing and dancing are not permitted.
