Evening Concert within the framework of Middle East Classical Music Academy

On Friday 5th February, the Zabeel Theatre at the 5-star Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel in Dubai, will host the launch of a 6-date concert series that is being organised as part of the 2024 Middle East Classical Music Academy. Headlined by Austrian violinist Sergei Dogadin, the winner of the IX Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition, and First Prize and Golden Medal recipient at the XVI International Tchaikovsky Competition, the evening will also feature the talents of conductor Mikhail Kirchhoff, who will be leading the Eurasian Symphony Orchestra, as well as those of the Seoul Metropolitan Female Choir, and various attendees from the Academy itself.

Joining together for this grand opening, these acclaimed artists will first be delighting audiences with a performance of the Violin Concerto No. 6, ‘Carpe Diem’, from the pen of renowned contemporary composer Alexey Shor, an optimistic and lively piece expounding a powerful zest for life that is replete with rich and expressive melodies and sublime orchestration. This will be then followed by June Hyeok Lee’s Their Songs, a charming work from the South Korean maestro that will be brought to life for the first time in Dubai by the singers of the Seoul Metropolitan Female Choir in what is sure to be a memorable and enchanting experience for all.
