Burns Night at QE2

Celebrate Burns Night in Grand Scottish style at the iconic Queen Elizabeth 2 Hotel  - itself made and built on the banks of the famous Clyde!

Our Burns Night evening includes a fusion of traditions and lively entertainment! Join us for an event steeped in Scottish heritage, featuring the pipers of the Dubai Pipe Band and the sensational Dubai based band Sandstorm. Enjoy the sound of the pipes during an elegant 3 course dinner with some traditional Burns poetry followed by a Ceilidh after dinner.


Your host & MC will be Dubai 103.8’s resident Scotsman with an English accent – Tom Urquhart suitably suited and booted and brilliantly reciting traditional Burns poetry during the dinner.


Adding to the enchantment of the evening, the Dubai Pipe Band, will grace us with their stirring bagpipes. Their captivating performance promises to evoke the spirit of Scotland and honour the legacy of Robert Burns in a truly authentic manner.

After the dinner, there will be energetic Ceilidh dancing to the sound of Sandstorm, led by Dubai’s own Miriam Willmott-Powell – and whether you're a seasoned dancer or new to the ceilidh scene, the band's spirited performance will have you up on your feet, swirling, twirling and reeling in no time!


So don your tartans and kilts as we pay homage to the great poet Robert Burns in an event that promises to be an ode to Scottish heritage and tradition - indulging in the spirit of camaraderie, enjoying delectable Scottish cuisine, sipping on a bit of whisky, and having an evening of merriment and cultural richness that celebrates the essence of ‘Rabbie Burns’.
