The Braun Battle of the Year Middle East

The Braun Battle of the Year Middle East B-Boy Championships take place at the Dubai Mall/ Star Atrium in Dubai at 14:00 on Saturday October 1, 2011.

The winning crew will be named Braun BOTY Middle East Champions and will be the Middle East's sole representative at the Braun BOTY grand final that will be held in Montpellier, France on November 20, 2011. This is the world championship of b-boying and competition will be fierce.

The media is invited to join the event at the Dubai Mall/ Star Atrium free of charge, and if interested in attending should contact nick.warren@zooom.at.

But first don't miss the workshops and meet & greet with the judges on September 30 at Core Studio, situated in the Dubai Marina. There is a fantastic line-up starting at 14:00 with a discussion and knowledge round.

An intensive workshop (with limited space!) starts at 15:00 with Ronnie

(USA) focusing on style and flow. Swift Rock (GER) with be teaching the fundamentals at 17:00 and there will be cyphers at 18:30.

On October 1, proceedings kick off at 14:00 and collectives must impress jury members Swift Rock, Ronnie and Neekoe (GER) with their synchronicity, stage presence, theme, music, choreography as well as b-boying moves. After a qualifying stage, the remaining crews take part in head to head battles until the victor is crowned.

The Braun BOTY Middle East main event will be hosted by Tommee (GER) with DJ Lobito (ESP) on the decks and will be a celebration of all-things b-boy and hip hop.
