Instead of waking up in hospital he comes to in a dilapidated farmhouse, isolated from the outside world by a blizzard, occupied by the schizophrenic Annie, his "Number One Fan".  When Annie reads his new novel where her beloved Misery is killed during childbirth, she forces him to destroy the manuscript and write another. Imprisoned in the house, Paul finds that Annie is not the angel of mercy she first appeared to be and finds that he has entered a kind of hell beyond  anything he might have imagined. Trapped in the middle of no-where with no-one coming to his aid, it’s a terrifying race against time for his survival.   Brilliantly adapted for the stage by Simon Moore from Stephen King’s best selling novel the show stars two of the UK’s top actors, TV and West End stars DARREN DAY (Hollyoaks, I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here) and YVONNE O’GRADY (Coronation Street/London's Burning) and is directed by John Payton, with set design by Caroline Reid and lighting by Paul Gould. This legendary story, made famous by the blockbuster Oscar winning movie version (starring Kathy Bates and James Caan), is a dramatic and chilling show and a theatrical event not to be missed.  Producer John Payton said ‘we are thrilled to be bringing one of Stephen King’s most famous stories to the stage in Dubai with such a respected cast. MISERY is a deliciously dark and dramatic show, thrilling, heart stopping and entirely theatrical. It has a great script, a powerful original score and is as much a creepy live experience as it is a play. Dubai doesn’t often have actors of such fame appear on stage, and we are delighted to have the very popular Darren Day and Yvonne O’Grady in the cast. The play was highly acclaimed on the London stage when Popular Productions presented it previously and we know that the UAE audiences will get a real kick out of this new production’
