The Fridge Presents: Tinig ng Kapayapaan – Philippine Choral Festival

Presented in special collaboration with Chorus Omnis, Abu Dhabi Concert Chorus, Dubai Vocal Ensemble, and Chorus Omnis come together for a celebration of choral excellence, before uniting under Dr. Velasco's baton for the night's closing performance. This is the night the whole community comes together, from choir singers and their families to anyone who simply loves the sound of a choir in full voice. For every Filipino family in Dubai who grew up with a choir in the church or the school back home, it is a chance to hear that same pride come alive on stage, and to revel in everything these choirs have worked to achieve.

Dr. Jonathan Velasco is a name every Filipino choir knows, spoken with the kind of respect reserved for very few conductors in a lifetime. He leads the Ateneo Chamber Singers, holds a Doctor of Musical Arts, and was the founding president of the Philippine Choral Directors Association. He has adjudicated and led clinics across Europe and Asia for twenty-five years, and he became the first Asian conductor of the World Youth Choir. He has spent his career mastering his craft, and Dubai now gets to see it firsthand.
