Wiz Khalifa plays Dubai

Dubai is getting a taste of international hip hop on Thursday March 31 as American star Wiz Khalifa is playing at Dubai Sports City.

The 'Black and Yellow' rapper last played in Dubai 4 years ago, and his profile has rocketed even further since then thanks to his track 'See You Again' from the Fast And Furious 7. The Soundtrack was voted as the best of 2015, and was streamed over 1.3 billion times.

A big name on the hip hop scene since 2011 and the release of his major label debut Rolling Papers, his first big hits came with 'Roll Up' and 'No Sleep,' which earned him 7 Grammy Nominations including nods for Best Rap Song ("We Dem Boyz") and Best Rap Album (Blacc Hollywood).

As you might expect due to his last name, Khalifa is an Arabic word meaning successor and wisdom. Support on the night comes from Middle East star Two Tone and 411 Nights main man DJ Bliss.
