Mercithon

In a unique humanitarian fund-raising initiative, St Mary’s Catholic Church Dubai has organized an event titled ‘Mercithon’ (Walk of Mercy) in association with Emirates Red Crescent and the Government of Dubai with the aim of raising AED 650,000 which will fund a full year’s treatment of six cancer patients irrespective of their religion or nationality. The recipients have been selected on the basis of their inability to pay for regular cancer treatment from economically weaker sections across UAE.
Mercithon will be held at Creek Park on 24th February from 8a.m. to 4 pm featuring a 5km Walkathon followed by an enjoyable carnival atmosphere and family funfair consisting of live performances, games, food, market stalls, cultural activities, , raffle draws and much more.
