Poetic Strokes and Ambika Vohra proudly present Dastangoi, the lost art of Urdu storytelling which developed in eighth century A.D around the adventures of an Arab hero, Ameer Hamza. It is orally recited prose, which is elaborated upon and transmitted extempore by the storyteller or Dastango whose voice is his main artistic tool in recreating the dastan or the story.
Sunil Mehra and Askari Naqvi, the two dastangos have been performing all over the world and have received standing ovations for their brilliant performances.
This will be there first performance in Dubai. Both Mehra and Naqvi regale, enthrall and entertain audiences with their gripping, and humorous art of oration.
