Winfield from The The Reduced Shakespeare Company(RSC) and directed by Wesley
Newfarmer, as part of its 2017-2018 season. An irreverent, fast-paced romp through
The Bard’s plays, 'The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised]' is
both a fantastic introduction to the classics for those who lack experience (or interest)
as well as a hilarious critique of Shakespeare and his legacy. Breaking the fourth wall,
the three actors play “themselves” and take the audience on a roller-coaster ride
through tragedies, comedies, and their own embarrassment. A wonderful mix of quick
wit, physical humor, and unending props, this show never ceases to entertain. The only
question is: can these three actors accomplish the Herculean task of getting through
“The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” in just 95 minutes? This production
features 3 women portraying well over 100 characters.
