iMove - Performance Workshop

Dear Dancers, Actors, Movement Lovers, Friends, We are tremendously excited to host a movement and performance workshop at The Fridge with Monica Antezana. iMove – Performance Workshop QUESTION: How can I create a unique performance? ANSWER: Just move it! All performances involve movement. Choreographer, Performer and Dance Educator Monica Antezana shares the movement-tools she uses in theatre-dance performances. Her tools are borrowed from science and popular culture and customized for movement. PowerPoint, DNA, Karaoke, Calligraphy, Quantum Mechanics, Rap, Pecha-Kucha a.o. can all serve for generating movements –that eventually can acquire meaning and function for a performance. The workshop is open to participants with/without movement background and to participants involved in art, design and media. All participants are encouraged to work as movement-makers. At the end of the workshop there is a showing of some of the performances of the participants. iMove is a serious-fun brainy-bodywork!
