Who is Yohani?

Yohani Diloka De Silva, popularly known as Yohani, is a Sri Lankan singer, songwriter and
rapper.
She was born on July 30, 1993 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Before gaining global recognition
for her rendition of Manike Mage Hithe, Yohani was famous for her rap cover of Deviyange
Bare.

What can Yohani bring to Dubai?

Yohani Diloka De Silva has 3.2M subscribers on Youtube, 2M followers on Tiktok and under
800K followers on Instagram mainly consisting of Indian & Sri Lankan audience from ages 20 –
40 years of age.
Yohani is famous because of her sensational viral rendition of Manike Mage Hithe.

It is actually a 2020 Sinhala song by Satheeshan Rathnayaka. The song got recognition
after Yohani’s version in May. The lyrics were written by Dulan ARX. Her rendition of Manike
Mage Hithe, since being uploaded, has been viewed 176 million times (Nov. 7, 2021). Yohani
has been chosen by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau to perform in Dubai soon. She will
be headlining at Expo 2020 Dubai in the first week of March 2022. “Yes, I have been to Dubai
once (in 2019). And yes, I am coming to Dubai soon to perform,” Yohani told City Times,
without confirming any dates.

This event is a musical showcase of Sri Lankan talent directed towards Sri Lankan and Indian
audiences. Doors open at 5:00PM then opening act will start at 6:00PM. Opening act will be
Indian singer to rally the crowd. Yohani will start to perform at 6:30PM until 9PM with a
mixture of Indian and Sri Lankan songs. Event will be hosted by Shaniah, UAE based Sri Lankan
personality. Event wilo have booths and sponsorships with UAE based businesses. Sri Lankan TV
will cover the entire event from start to finish.
