Harry has managed AFC Bournemouth, West Ham United, Portsmouth, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City. In his second spell at Portsmouth, he managed the side that won the 2008 FA Cup & he guided Tottenham into the UEFA Champions League.

During his playing career, Harry played as a midfielder. Playing with Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, breaking into the 1st team in the 1965–66 seasons. Playing with old teammate and 1966 World Cup-winning captain Bobby Moore & Geoff Hurst. Harry joined Division 3 AFC Bournemouth in 1972 from West Ham. Harry began his management career as a player-assistant manager of NASL club Seattle Sounders from 1976 – 1979. The rest as they say… is history.
