Known as the ‘King of Rai’, Cheb Khaled is one of the Arab world’s most successful artists of all time, having sold over 80.5 million albums internationally during his three-decade music career. His signature song, the 1993 hit, ‘Didi’, brought him world-renown, topping the charts across the Middle East, as well as France, Belgium, Spain, India and Pakistan. He performed ‘Didi’ at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, and it’s also been used on numerous movie soundtracks. With its messages of love, tolerance and peace, Khaled’s 2012 album C’est La Vie sold over 4.6 million copies worldwide. Lebanese singing sensation Melissa was discovered by Fady Bitar and Jean Saliba, music producers who have also worked with Elissa. After her first album, ‘Baddi Mennak’, she signed with Egyptian label Alam El Phan, with label-mates including Haifa Wehbe and Samira Said.
