"The Lost Mirror" at Zabeel Theatre"

"The Lost Mirror" is a musical production for adults and children aged 6 and up. It stars Alexander Gudkov, members of the group "The Biggest Prime Number" Evgenia Borzykh, Kirill Ivanov and Stanislav Astakhov, as well as Marina Vasilyeva, Dominique Mara and Serafima Goshchanskaya. The action on stage takes place to music written especially for the performance by the SPBC group.

"The Lost Mirror" is based on the works of writer and artist Pavel Pepperstein. And the entire action of the play will unfold against the backdrop of video decorations with his illustrations. The costumes for the play, surreal and "very literal", were created by a team from several countries under the direction of artists Maria Levina and Polina Grechko.

A hand mirror with a star fragment on the handle will elude thieves, hold conversations with Trumo and the Mermaid Professor, be captured by the Diving Bird and generally visit the most unexpected places. Of course, the mirror is magical: it helps its owners see how to fulfill great and seemingly impossible desires.

During his travels, Mirror — and the audience too — learns new things about himself and the world around him: about the existence of a chocolate zoo, a sausage reticule, kitten gardeners, and much more. And the main truth: you don’t have to be magical for something magical to happen to you.
