On April 18 in Dubai, at Ain Dubai – Plaza Outdoor, the grand premiere of a symphonic concert dedicated to two of the greatest composers in the history of world cinema — Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota — will take place.
The program features iconic music from The Godfather, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in America, Le Professionnel and La Piovra — soundtracks that have become an essential part of global cultural heritage.
On the podium is Maestro Marcello Rota, one of Europe’s leading conductors, who has worked with the orchestras of Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, the Verona Arena, the Italian National Orchestra and the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. The concert features soprano Cristina Mosca and a full symphony orchestra.
The project is conceived as a musical–theatrical–cinematic journey through the key stages of the two composers’ careers — from Italian cinema of the 1960s to Hollywood. This is not just a concert, but a live interpretation of music that shaped the emotional language of world cinema and continues to resonate with audiences around the globe.
