Nearly fifty seasons in, The Fridge Concert Series is still the best place in Dubai to hear exceptional original music, live and up close.
BLUES / SOUL
On 5 May, Domina takes the stage first. A Palestinian-Lebanese singer-songwriter and life coach, she has spent nearly a decade writing music about mental health, shadow work, and the slow process of becoming yourself. Her second album بلا حدود draws on R&B and soul to chart that inner work, and her live sets carry the same quality of intention. Grasshoppers ft. Al3s3s support.
CUBAN / WORLD MUSIC
On 12 May, Cuban artist Sandra Ivette brings her six-piece band for the world premiere of Comienzo, her debut album that has never been performed live. Rooted in Cuban music but shaped by a decade of playing across the world, she plays bass and sings, leading a set written for everything from a string quartet to a jazz trio.
POP / BALLAD
Closing the season on 19 May, Célinedee Matahari. The Dubai-born, French-Indonesian singer-songwriter was spotted by A.R. Rahman during a chance encounter in Dubai, has since received a repost from Céline Dion, earned praise from Shania Twain at the Forbes 30/50 Summit in Abu Dhabi, and performed for heads of state and royalty — all before turning 18. Season 49 is her first headline show in an intimate setting, and she'll be performing original music including her single "Stay."
