October 6: PeachPuffs | The Draft
PeachPuffs formed after finishing third in a Battle of the Bands. One year later, they’ve opened for Linkin Park and shared a stage with Muse at the Abu Dhabi F1 After Race Concert. They play grunge, indie and alt rock in loud, guitar-driven songs fuelled by nostalgia and youthful energy.
The Draft open the night with grunge, bringing a raw, high-volume sound to the stage.
October 13: That’s Julian | Josh Job
That’s Julian are a four-piece indie-folk-pop band from the UAE with a serious appreciation for a good song. The Beatles, Lizzy McAlpine and John Mayer are among the influences, but it’s their layered vocals and close-knit chemistry that give the band their own sound.
Opening the night is singer-songwriter Josh Job, whose understated mix of folk, rock and soul carries the influence of his time performing in Vancouver.
October 20: Salalem | Wetgrass
Salalem have been part of Egypt’s independent music scene since 2005, so it’s slightly ridiculous that October 20 marks their first ever UAE performance. Their music sits somewhere between poetic songwriting and the direct emotional honesty of a conversation with friends.
Wetgrass bring a different kind of energy to the room, moving between indie, pop and rock with a live set that makes the whole room feel closer together.
