Dubai Classics, a new three-day music festival debuting in Dubai next year, proudly presents superstar international soprano Sarah Brightman performing consecutive nightly concerts – for the first time in the UAE - on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 February, 2014.
Organised by DXB Live and M Premiere, Dubai Classics brings you the blockbuster experience-of-a-lifetime: the regional debut of the legendary English songstress’ internationally-heralded ‘Dreamchaser’ tour.
Performing countless hits from her multi-award-winning, three-decade stage and film career, Brightman’s Dubai Classics shows come 45 years after her own life-changing moment – watching the famous Apollo 11 moon landings live on television. The grainy black-and-white images formed a lasting impression on Sarah’s childhood and are now the inspiration behind her hugely-successful ‘Dreamchaser’ shows.
“Watching the first man land on the moon – it was an epiphany,” recalls Sarah. “It changed things. It actually helped me understand what it was that I had to do in my life, to further myself, to think outside the box. I realised I could go that far, I could do that.”
Having begun her stunning rise to fame in musicals in London’s West End, Brightman has gone on to sell in excess of 30 million records and two million DVDs worldwide, establishing herself as the world's best-selling soprano of all time.
She’s also made history as the first artist to perform at two different Olympic Games (Barcelona - 1992 and Beijing - 2008) and will re-write record books again in 2015 when she travels to the International Space Station on a Soyuz rocket and becomes the first professional musician to record a song in space!
