The biggest ever Grand Gala Concert will feature world's greatest performers including Vadim Repin who was named as Russian Paganini and one of the highly acclaimed violin virtuosos, soloists of the Bolshoi theatre accompanied by world renowned Italian Maestro Fabio Mastrangelo and St. Petersburg "Northern Sinfonietta" chamber orchestra. The richest and diverse concert program as well as the firework of international stars under one roof will set a new milestone in the Classical Life of Dubai.

Maestro Fabio Mastrangelo is commonly referred to as Russia’s most famous Italian born conductor due to his high popularity. He currently holds several positions in Russia including Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the St. Petersburg Camerata State Hermitage orchestra, Artistic Director of the Novosibirsk Camerata, Principal Guest Conductor of the Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra and a regular guest conductor at the Mariinsky Theatre and many other theatres throughout Russia.

The artistic director of renowned St. Petersburg "Northern Sinfonietta" chamber orchestra from Russia Maestro Fabio Mastrangelo brought together some of the finest musicians and winners of various national and international music competitions to form one of the highly acclaimed chamber orchestras in Russian and Europe. St. Petersburg "Northern Sinfonietta" chamber orchestra conducted by Maestro Fabio Mastrangelo along with violin prodigy Vadim Repin will start the Gala concert with the performance of world's greatest pieces by F. Mendelssohn, P. Sarasate, N. Paganini, P. Tchaikovsky, G. Bizet and many more on March 25, 2016 at Hall No.3, DWTC.

Vadim Repin - was named as Russian Paganini, a phenomenon in classical music world and is considered as one the best violin players around the globe. He started to play violin at the age of five and six months later had his first stage performance. At eleven he won the gold medal in all age categories in the Wienawski Competition and gave his recital debuts in Moscow and St Petersburg. In 1985 at the age of 14 he made his debuts in Tokyo, Munich, Berlin, Helsinki; a year later in Carnegie Hall. At the age of 17 Vadim Repin was the youngest ever winner of the most prestigious and demanding violin competition in the world, the Reine Elisabeth Concours. All his achievements and virtuoso performance made him grew into some of the highly acclaimed violin players of our generation.

In 2010 he was awarded the Victoire d’Honneur, France’s most prestigious musical award for a lifetime’s dedication to music, and also became Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres. Fiery passion with impeccable technique, poetry and sensitivity are Vadim Repin’s trademarks. Vadim Repin plays on the 1733 'Rode' violin by Stradivari.

The second half of the evening will feature the dazzling performance of the soloists of the Bolshoi theatre Anna Aglatova (soprano) and Alexei Neklyudov (tenor). Their spellbinding concert program includes some of the finest works by Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Mozart, Strauss, Rossini, Puccini, Rachmaninoff, Borodin and Rimsky-Korsakov.

Anna Aglatova, phenomenal soprano of the Bolshoi theatre and the winner of various competitions including the first prize at the national competition "Bella Voce" in Moscow (1st Prize, 2003). In 2013, Anna was awarded Russian Federation's President's prize for her contribution to developing national musical art in Russia.

Alexei Neklyudov (tenor) - a world renowned soloist of the "Novaya Opera" theatre in Moscow as well the guest soloist of the Bolshoi theatre. He is the winner of various national and international music competitions and has worked with such conductors as Vladimir Spivakov, Johannes Prinz, Otto Tausk, and Vladimir Jurowski.

The third edition of Dubai Classics is promising to be the highlight of the season and will bring some of the finest acts the region has not seen before.
