McGettigan's Presents The Parlotones & Step On Live - SOLD OUT

One of South Africa's greatest musical exports play McGettigans on Thursday June 2 as the Parlotones come to town.
Formed in 1998, the Johannesburg band are a catchy indie rock band who are one of South Africa's best selling artists of all time. They've won 9 South African Music Awards and in 2009 were the first South African band to headline at the Coca Cola Dome, while they also performed at the 2010 FIFA World Cup Concert along with Black Eyed Peas, Shakira and Alicia Keys.
The band are no strangers to Dubai, having played here to sold out crowds several times before and have a large fan base in the UAE. The group are influenced by British bands like The Smiths, Coldplay and Radiohead, and are known for their melodic rock sound, and have performed alongside Coldplay and Snow Patrol during their long career.

The band will be performing all of the classics from their 6 studio albums 'Episoda' (2003), radiocontrolledrobot (2005), A World Next Door to Yours (2007), Stardust Galaxies (2009), Journey Through the Shadows (2012) and Stand Like Giants (2013).

Alongside the band, long-running indie night Step On will be on the decks after the show with their bag of indie classics, making this a big night out for indie and rock fans.
