Music in the Studio continues to create exceptional and intimate musical experiences with an incredible line-up of international artists from September to December 2021 entering its 9th successful season as the only subscription series of classical concerts in Dubai.

Alice Burla

Called an "extraordinary talent" by the New York Times, Alice Burla is a Canadian pianist who stands out for her colorful, intelligent, and spiritual approach to music. At 25 years of age, her remarkable ability and desire to share music has led her to perform both as a soloist and chamber musician in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Concertgebouw, Teatro la Fenice, Palau de la Música Catalana, Auditorio Nacional, Fundación Juan March, Salle Cortot, and the World Economic Forum.

Alice recently became a laureate of the Sydney Int'l Piano Competition and the Concours musical Int'l de Piano Montréal. Last year, she was awarded the 2020 Migros-Kulturprozent Prize, the Kiefer Hablitzel │Göhner Music Prize with the special Prix Collard, and the Schenk Stiftung Soloist Prize, which will lead her to perform with the Argovia Philharmonic this fall. She currently studies with Claudio Martinez Mehner and Anton Kernjak at the Musik Akademie Basel, where she received her Bachelor and Soloist Master degrees.

Her concert at Music in the Studio will include well-known popular pieces that will showcase her incredible talent as an accomplished pianist.

House & Event Policies
2+ years would require a ticket to enter the Studio.
Below 2 years are not permitted into the Studio.
Patrons under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Latecomers may only be admitted at a suitable pause.
Any use of mobile phones, cameras, and other electronic devices inside the studio is strictly prohibited
The Opera Cafe opens two hours before the performance

Important information:
-Proof of Vaccination is not required.
-The show is General Admission/First come first seat.

Entry may be refused, or you may be asked to leave if the below conditions are not met:
- Please do not attend if you have Covid-19 symptoms.
- It is mandatory to wear a face mask at all times whilst at Dubai Opera ensuring that your nose and mouth are covered correctly. This includes during the performance. You will be asked to leave if you are not wearing your face mask correctly.
- You may remove your face mask to consume food and beverage in the Foyers when sitting or standing at a table. If you move away from the table you must put your face mask on.
- Please keep your face mask on in all photographs that you take. You will be asked to delete any photographs that breach this rule, and you may be asked to leave.
- During the performance please remain seated in your allocated seat at all times. Standing and dancing are not permitted.
