Wind Rises Sailing Rides & Races

Since 2008, we have been making sail sports accessible, open, and democratic. We attract both beginners and experienced individuals to explore the world under sails together. Sailing is popular in many countries and enjoyed by people of all backgrounds. There are no barriers or restrictions to becoming a part of our movement.

With Wind Rises, your level of experience doesn't matter. Our team of skilled instructors and skippers will help you navigate the sailing world, and you'll wonder how you ever lived without the wind and waves.

 
Formats of Adventure

Sailing Experience: Here, you will learn how to operate the boat, steer it along a course, adjust the sails, and execute basic maneuvers either with other participants or with the help of  our instructor and will take care of all the boat handling while you relax, enjoy the sea views, catch the wind, and capturing memorable photos of your amazing day on the water

Sailing Race: Everyone who has ever been in a sailing race should take part in it and understand what a thrill it is. It's thrilling, physically easy, very interesting tactically, and just fun - it's all about racing. Even beginners can get swept up in the excitement of achieving their first victory, and the potential for improvement in racing skills is endless.Our goal is to cater participants of all levels, from novice to seasoned pro, we've carefully crafted a range of race types and pay close attention to every detail. All races have one thing in common - a rousing mix of excitement, concentration and joy.

What to wear?

Let's look at each point a little more closely to understand what is needed and why.

• Sailing gloves
• Non-slippery and non-mark sneakers 
• Hooded windbreaker
• A cap or other sun headgear
• Sunscreen with SPF 50+
• Sunglasses strap and hair clips/bond
• Changing clothes if needed  

When it comes to clothing, it's best to use common sense. If it's hot and sunny, wear shorts, a T-shirt, and apply high SPF sunscreen. On cooler days, opt for comfortable pants and a windbreaker. If there's precipitation expected on the day of training, prepare by bringing extra pants as there are changing rooms available at our base. Be sure to check the weather forecast in advance.

What is prohibited?

• Acoholic drinks and safety violations are not permitted
• The sailing instruction commences promptly, and it is imperative that you arrive on time, as no tardiness is permitted for training.
• Swimming is not allowed during the sailing lessons or while on a sailing excursion.
• Physically challenged person with physical injuries (fractures, dislocations) and a pregnant woman.
• Inappropriate clothes and shoes (puffy or long dress and heels)
• While cameras are permitted, it's advisable to either tie them down or avoid carrying big cameras to avoid any responsibility
• Drinking alcohol on a boat, no food on a boat 
• Sailing training or Sailing ride without a vest

 
Prices

Weekdays:
Sailing Experience (2 hours 15 minutes) – 300 AED

Weekends:
Sailing Experience (2 hours 15 minutes) – 380 AED

Timings

Sailing rides are held daily from 7:30 am to 3:15 pm.
