Light of Hope for UNICEF at The Theatre - Mall of the Emirates, Dubai

The Emirates Youth Symphony Orchestra (EYSO) is hosting a charitable concert aimed at supporting UNICEF and providing assistance to children affected by the earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria. To commemorate this noble cause, EYSO has extended invitations to dedicated and generous adult musicians, forming the Light of Hope Orchestra specifically for this event. The concert program will offer a delightful blend of Arabic music arrangements by conductor Riad Kudsi, as well as classical compositions that will resonate with audiences of all ages.

Throughout the orchestra's performance, attendees will be treated to a visually engaging experience with expressive background paintings displayed on a screen. These captivating artworks, prepared in advance as a video, will set the tone for the concert. Adding to the artistic ambiance, renowned painter Khaled Jalal will create a live painting during the event, focusing on the theme of the earthquake. Khaled Jalal will also oversee an accompanying art exhibition. Furthermore, the moving words of Emirati poet Dr. Talal Al-Junaibi will be recited, capturing the essence of the earthquake experience. The poem will then be sung by acclaimed vocalist Somar Al-Najjar, accompanied by the symphony orchestra, providing a heartfelt and memorable performance.

• The doors open at 07:30 p.m. and the show starts at 08:00 p.m. ensuring you have ample time to settle in.
• The duration of the show is 1 hour and 40 mins (including 20 mins intervals)

• Age limit: 2+
• Please note that ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
• *No refund will be given on the grounds that the ticket holder was not aware of the age restriction.
• Photography, videography, and audio recording including camera phones are strictly prohibited.
• Smoking is not allowed. 
• No external food and beverages will be allowed into the venue.
• Don’t carry items that may cause injury or public nuisance.
• Drones and or other remote-controlled devices are not allowed into the venue. 
• Glow sticks and illuminating objects such as LED signage are prohibited. 
• Animals are not allowed to enter (excluding registered assistance/service dogs).
• Laser pointers, permanent markers / felt-type pens, scissors, or aerosol canisters are prohibited.

How to get there:

By car: The Theatre is located in the Mall of the Emirates on Level 2. The nearest parking to the theater is "Orange parking A5 & A6 on L2".  

By public transportation: Mall of the Emirates is easily accessible by metro. You can take the Red Line and get off at the Mall of the Emirates station.  

By taxi: You can also take a taxi to the Mall of the Emirates. It's a famous destination and most drivers would be familiar with its location.
