An exciting evening awaits classical music lovers on Friday 18th April 2025, as the InClassica International Music Festival, organised by SAMIT Event Group, presents its first duo recital of this 14th edition, featuring none other than the globally-acclaimed violinist Daniel Hope and the renowned Uzbek pianist Behzod Abduraimov. An exclusive Deutsche Grammophon artist since 2007, Hope has travelled the globe as both chamber musician and soloist, collaborating with leading orchestras and conductors all over the world. Music Director of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra and San Francisco’s New Century Chamber Orchestra, he is also the Artistic Director of the Frauenkirche Dresden, and President of the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, while holding the Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany as well as the 2015 European Culture Prize. Abduraimov, his companion on the stage of Dubai Opera for this evening, has a similarly impressive array of accomplishments, being awarded the First Prize at the 2009 London International Piano Competition, and receiving the Choc de Classica, Diapason Découverte, and the Gramophone Editor’s Choice awards, to mention a few. Together, the duo will be presenting an exciting array of compositions, starting with Antonín Dvořák’s Sonatina for Violin and Piano, Op. 100, before moving to Composer-in-Residence Alexey Shor’s Violin Sonata No. 1, and then concluding with César Franck’s beloved Sonata for Violin and Piano in A major after the interval.
