Expo City Dubai is proud to host the first training module in the UAE introducing construction industry professionals to the RICS Whole Life Carbon Assessment (WLCA) for the built environment Professional Standard (2nd edition).

The training module covers the principles and methodologies for assessing the carbon footprint of built environment projects and assets over their entire life cycle, strongly emphasizing embodied carbon.

Participants will learn how to apply the standard to several types of construction projects and assets, including building and infrastructure.

The emphasis of the training will be on understanding the critical components of whole life-cycle carbon assessment, including:

Embodied carbon
Upfront
In-use
End-of-life
Operational carbon
Carbon impacts of maintenance, repair, replacement, and end-of-life phases.
