Step into the world of apiculture with Terra’s Novice Beekeeping Course—an immersive, hands-on experience designed specifically for beginners. Guided by Dr. Meriem Hammal, a certified professional beekeeper and scientist, this course breaks down the science, craft, and art of caring for honeybees. Combining interactive classroom sessions, live hive inspections, and inspiring field trips across the UAE, you’ll gain the confidence and practical skills needed to start and maintain your own thriving beehive.

Hands-on Hive Access: Get comfortable working with live bees, inspecting hives, and managing colonies.
Balanced Curriculum: Enjoy a blend of foundational classroom science, practical fieldwork, and UAE field trips.
Sustainable Craft: Discover desert beekeeping techniques, honey extraction basics, and pollinator conservation.

Its a 5 sessions course every Saturday from 17th of October to 14th of November.
Complete course instruction (classroom, practical sessions, and field trips)
Protective suit and gear rental during practical hive sessions
Beekeeping toolkit materials and course handbook
Certificate of Completion upon finishing the program

Personal transport to and from field trip locations (unless specified otherwise)
Take-home hive equipment or live bees (guidance on purchasing will be provided)
Personal protective equipment outside of provided suits (e.g., custom footwear)

Sting Risk: You will be interacting with live honeybee colonies. While full protective gear is provided, sting risks cannot be completely eliminated.
Allergies: Individuals with known severe allergies to bee venom (anaphylaxis) should consult a physician before registering and must carry an Epipen.
Attire Requirements: Wear full-length trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, and closed-toe shoes (ankle-high boots are recommended) for hive days. Avoid wearing strong perfumes or dark colors.
Age Limit: Designed for adults and young adults (check specific age minimums with Terra prior to booking).

By Bus: There is an RTA public bus stop situated outside the Expo metro station.
